2:41PM - Hello!

Hello, I'm Emily, from Ky & I have been playing heroclix for a while now, thanks to my boyfriend and his friends. My favorite click is Silver Surfer, (Cosmic powers = no pushing damage= yessss!) I just got two bricks for Christmas, I pulled some great uniques- thanos, korvac, karnak, binary, 2 gravitrons, jack of hearts, red ghost, and best of all.... zombie wolverine! I just thought I would introduce myself, I am the only girl that plays in our group, there were a few @ the last new guy night when our venue was still open but now that it closed we all split off into groups @ peoples homes, so I am alone again! Good to know there are other girl gamers out there!

7:03PM - new member and an intro

Hi im stacy. I live in charleston WV. Ive been a long time comic fan but didnt get into heroclix till just a month or so ago.
My husband got me into it.
since im a big fan of gambit he gave me his vetran version he won in a tournament. I bought a couple boosters and now have been buying them on ebay.
My main goal is to get all the x-men i can. Im dissapointed Rogue has been banned from tournaments(even though i dont have her yet), but was happy to find out storm is atleast still legal i have an experienced of her.
Im preparing a 500pt team to battle for a dark phoenix. its going to be a week long tournament, $20 entry fee, but it would be so nice to win her.
anyway wanted to say hi to everyone, and its nice to see fellow chicks in the game :)

11:25PM

I started playing Heroclix in July. I'm not -real- good, but I get by. I have a rookie Doomsday, that I absolutely love using, but since it's 137 points, I rarely get to use him, even though he has impervious, charge, and super strength. I have two exoerienced Green Lanterns that I like to use (125 pts each, ouch) and also a rookie Wasp I like to use as a forgotten piece. I never move her since her movement is so low, and everyone usually ends up forgetting about her, then after all my other characters are gone, she's the only one left (which is alright since her defense is 18).
I started keeping books on my characters. It had team lists, power lists, and kept track of every character I have or had at one point. It was just a hassle to put up with, though. I'm always getting characters or trading, or giving away (like my rookie Booster Gold, who has now earned the affectionate name of "Booster Gay" by my heroclix group).

Anyways, I'm really excited because starting next Tuesday, my local (well, not exactly local, it's a few towns away) comic shop is holding heroclix tournaments. My best friend, who got me into heroclix, and I registered, and we want to register another one of our friends (haha, the guy who I gave Booster Gay to). My best friend has already started training me hard since I have a very vague and casual way of playing. He's getting really frustrated, though, since I always forget to use my super powers.
My team had to be completely re-done since most games are run on 300 points, but my friends and I play 500 points.
My team is
- Sabretooth (E)
- Taskmaster (V)
- Patch (E)
- Mysterio (E)
- Calypso (V)
- Moloid (E)
It's alright. Blades and Claws, mind control, probability control, perplex, outwit. My friend stresses to me that these are crucial to winning and I have to remember to use them.

But I really can't wait for the tournament next week. Saturday morning there's supposed to be a demonstration and I think I get a piece for showing up.

9:10AM - heh :)

Just added this community, so I thought I'd say hey and introduce meself.

I started collecting Marvel Heroclix because I really like female action figures and some of the little clix were cute. At this point, I have a lot of them with a few uniques (Phoenix - Jean, a Spidey, Hulk, and the new Ultimate Phoenix). I also cheated and won Mr. Sinister and Goblin Queen off ebay. So... the guy at my store suggested that maybe I play with the regular group, so I brought all my figures with me and took them out of the lunchbox I hold them in and I think one of the guys almost shit himself when he saw my Phoenix pair.

Too bad I don't know how to use any of em, but I expect I will sooner or later.

4:17PM - Is it true?

I’ve been hearing rumors about Infinity Challenge being removed as the starter set.
What then?

Anyone ever been to Neutral Ground for Tournaments? I think I may check it out this friday ...

2:38PM - Helloo

Ok, I'm a newbie to playing, but I have a bunch o'Clix (DC & Marvel got only a coupla Indy). I'm in Brooklyn, and none of my friends have the desire to play (I'm questioning who these friends are, heh).

So I pose this question: Does anyone wanna play?

1:07AM - Tonight's tournament

Sucked. I mean really. I did NOT have a good time. This was quite possibly because I was having sex instead of sleeping until 2am last night and munchie gets up at 6, so I was a complete wreck by this evening.

We were doing a swap tournament, as I mentioned earlier, where you have to play your opponent's team, goal being to bring the worst team possible. Some people were able to have a lot of fun with this,(At least Trinny had a great time) but to me it just felt like walking backwards through a subway terminal.

Oh, and any carnation of Brother Blood = worthless. WORTHLESS. God, how did this character make it through player testing?

7:14PM - Last Night's Tournament

So the dratf indyclix tournament was certainly interesting. Between Blix, Trin and I we got two uniques, which is frankly better than nothing, and there were definitely some sweet figures. I still maintain that I am not terribly fond of Indyclix. I DO like the INDY rules, and I'm glad incorperating them went so smoothely a few months ago. Still...

I feel as if in an indy tournament, everyone is really just using different mutations of the same strategy. At one point Trin and I were just mjoving our stealth around the board, en masse, waiting for one another to mess up. Boring, tedious, and eventually unfruitful, as one of us HAD to charged into the frey. I think we had already wasted twenty minutes of our round before someone attacked. WTF?

Anyway, overall it was fun. Everyone was in high spirits and I'm fairly sure no one had a no-win night. I did a bad bad thing, ruining Blix's winning streak and utterly creaming him. Someone's going to have to spank me.

Please, Mistah J?

4:04PM - Indy! (ha ha ha)

So, I'm finally breaking down and buying some Indy Clix. You're saying, I know, you haven't bought any yet? But no, I was really more interested in the Marvel and DC expansions.

Indy clix just don't seem to be as much fun to play. Anyone else feel this way?

2:39PM

Wow... found this cuz of pockettheroach, and I figured I'd join. So hi, everyone! :) Yet another girl who plays HeroClix (one of two in our area, that I know of)...

So my boyfriend always teases me because I insist upon making most of my teams be all female teams or at least predominantly female teams... am I just a weirdo, or are there others who do this too? :)

9:15PM - hmmm...

It seems no one has really posted here in a while. Well, you said you wanted to see some people wander in. Here I am.
I started collecting hero clix just to get the Batman villains. (I think a lot of people start that way) Right now, I'm in love with my Batman and harem team, and the borrowed Super Skrull and Skrull minions team. I don't get to play very often, because I love theme based teams, and I hate playing with people who go for power over everything. I really love the game. It's fun, and lets you be creative. But it's addictive. I've managed to get my mother interested... I bought her her very own Wonder Woman click the other day. ^_^ Now people in her office are interested...

ok. I'm outta here. Hope some people start posting soon...

4:13AM - Hi Kids.

So, with the name suggested to me by a friend, I have created a community especially for women who play Heroclix (because trust me, there's more of us than you think). Have fun, kids!
